Job Description
At Fulton Hogan we are always looking for ways to optimise efficiency and productivity in a safe and effective manner. To support this goal, we are seeking a Resource Coordinator to join our team. The resource coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the scheduling of field staff, plant, equipment, and other resources. He or she will work closely with the Contract and Project Managers and employees to ensure that all resources are being used effectively and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Primary areas of responsibility will include the allocation of employee and plant resources, resolving booking conflicts, and monitoring the availability, staffing and plant requirements. Ensuring all the necessary people and plant resources are available to the various Project Managers and Project Engineers within the Contracting Division will be the key components of the role. This will mean sourcing and coordinating external resources if the internal resources are not available.
We are looking for a professional who is a people person first and foremost, but also has great organisational and coordination skills. This role will support the Northland Region’s Contracting Division by organising the field staff, plant and equipment necessary for the Project Managers to run their projects. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will form part of a support team and have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
  • Managing all of the field staff across the division
  • Managing all the plant and equipment within the division
  • Identify and manage training needs to ensure individuals have the necessary skills and training to perform their tasks safely and efficiently
  • Manage Health and Safety
  • Managing divisional labour hire requirements
  • Ensure proper induction and onboarding of new staff
  • Establishing relationships with various local plant hire companies and sub-contractors
  • Ensuring the availability of a range of external plant items
  • Manage employee wellbeing
  • Managing the administration tasks associated with the position, such as approval of timesheets correct job costing
