Description

The individual oversees financial operations, ensures compliance, drives efficiency, and supports strategic initiatives for all Omron Thailand business entities. This role encompasses various key responsibilities to safeguard and enhance the organization's financial health:

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership and Operations:
    • Lead the country's finance function, providing efficient services to multiple Omron Thailand business entities.
    • Manage cash flow, financial planning, treasury functions, finance operations, and tax.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and communicate value and risk issues to Management.
    • Drive a culture of controllership, accountability, compliance, and integrity in financial practices.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Provide strategic financial leadership and quantitative insights to Management.
    • Drive operational excellence to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Change Management and Competency Enhancement:
    • Drive transformative change within the finance function.
    • Enhance competencies within the country's finance function.
    • Support regional transformation projects.
  • Accounting:
    • Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of accounts.
    • Manage Group Chart of Accounts (GCOA) and Local Chart of Accounts (LCOA).
    • Analyze and approve month-end accruals and adjustments.
    • Stay updated on US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Review and manage financial entries in the HFM package files.
    • Perform financial analysis on group reports and statements.
    • Assist in adopting US GAAP in HFM package files.
    • Standardize reporting processes for work efficiency.
    • Prepare and finalize budgets and forecasts.
  • Tax, Legal, and Audit:
    • Review and manage Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other tax requirements.
    • Coordinate with tax authorities and consultants.
    • Resolve audit issues and manage compliance requirements, including J-SOX audits.
  • Finance Business Partnering:
    • Analyze cash flow, operating expenses, and business performance.
    • Provide financial analysis for project initiatives.
  • Fixed Asset Management:
    • Oversee the monitoring, recording, and reporting of assets.
  • Projects and Improvements:
    • Identify and implement process efficiencies, improvements, and enhancements.
    • Act as deputy for the Country Manager on related matters.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards financial systems, SAP, and Windows applications.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in senior Finance and Accounting roles.
  • Demonstrated financial accounting, reporting, and technical expertise.
  • Strong team leadership, people management, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at challenging the status quo.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • High energy and initiative with an affinity for high-growth environments.
