Pharmacy Technician II is an essential member of staff at Miller Drug. Technicians provide support for multiple facets of the operations of the Pharmacy, including exceptional customer service, answer phone in a timely manner, patient interaction, data entry, prescription preparation, third party troubleshooting and sales of prescriptions.
Qualifications
Individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Maine Pharmacy Technician license, excellent communication skills (phone), have previous pharmacy experience and proficient com puter skills are required.
Answer phones, accurate processing and filling of prescriptions under the direction of a registered pharmacist in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations. Prepares and participate in inventory count preparation and process as required, including Cycle Counts.
Must be a team player, handle interruptions, multitask and work in a fast pace busy environment. Individuals must have a caring attitude and enjoy working close to others.
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, bending, walking, stretching, grasping, repetitive motions. Subject to sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time (up to 4 hours at a time). Visual acuity, to include color, depth perception and field of vision with or without correction. Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or 10 pounds constantly). Sufficient auditory function to hear phones, pages, instrume nt and/or system alarms, verbal commands. Must be able to communicate verbally with others, to include phone and/or radio equipment.
