Parkview Adventist Medical Center

Brunswick, ME

We are currently seeking candidates for a per diem (as needed) Pharmacy Technician position at Park! view Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick, ME . This position will primarily work weekends. The Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday/Sunday from 7am-1pm.

As Pharmacy Technician, you’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include: maintaining patient records; setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses. You’ll perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You’ll be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.

Qualifications:

• HS graduate or GED
• State License/Registration (Pharmacy Technician, Advanced) re! quired
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification pre! ferred
• Chemo Certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year paid Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
