Central Maine Medical Center/ Lewiston , ME

As Staff Pharmacist you will evaluate and interpret orders; compounds; and dispenses medications accord! ing to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. The staff pharmacist will also identify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome. Promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care. You will assist in supervising the pharmacy technicians in their daily routines.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting
• Maine Pharmacist license in good standing
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Central Maine Medical Center offers a wide variety of clinical experience in the fields of trauma care, cardiac surgery, neonatal intensive care and oncology as well as the more traditional services offered in a hospital environment. The robust clinical information sy! stem is centered around Cerner’s Millennium allowing full el! ectronic access to the patient’s medical record. The majority of orders are entered via CPOE.
