Bridgton Hospital, part of the Central Maine Medical Center family, supports a number of primary care and specialty practices including a highly regarded oncology program. The 21-bed, single-story, hospital features all private patient rooms, including medical/surgical, intensive care, and family birthing suites. The hospital provides both outpatient and inpatient surgical, radiology, and laboratory services. The emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The centralized Pharmacy is open from 7:30am-4pm Monday-Friday (pharmacists also cover weekend on-call). Other hours are covered by remote order verification. Automation includes order entry, dispensing and electronic records. The Pharmacy recently received a CPS award for outstanding performance.
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with a! ccuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; ma! intain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Required Qualifications
- Pharm D degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of Maine or transferrable license
- Experience beyond the internship as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting
