At Blue Hill Memorial Hospital the pharmacy Technician works collaboratively with other pharmacy and hospital staff to provide pharmace! utical services in a clean,neat and safe environment to provide patient focused care. This important position is responsible for supporting the pharmacist in the performance of their responsibilities in order to provide pharmaceutical services. The pharmacy technician assists the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications and provides comprehensive technical support and supportive services to customers and medical staff. Technicians achieve national certification within one of the employment and have the opportunity to work and specialize in various areas of the pharmacy.
Minimum education & experience: Associates degree in health or science field preferred or the equivalent in education and experience are required. Previous pharmacy (retail or hospital) work experience desired. CPhT certification required within one year or current CPhT certification desired. Ideal candidate has excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills. Attention to de! tail, ability to handle pressure situations, knowledge of Micr! osoft excel and word are required.
