POSITION SUMMARY : Assist the pharmacist in medication reconciliation, ensure a high degree of accuracy during daily workflow as well as working in a team environment. Successful candidates would be able to p! erform pharmacy calculations, have a pharmacy technician license from the State of Maine and a high school diploma or equivalent. Obtaining accurate medication list from patients, caregivers, medical professionals, or medical records.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED : High School diploma or equivalent
PREFERED EDUCATIO N: Certificate program in pharmacy technology
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Must obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) licensure from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
PREFERED EXPERIENCE : 1 year Experience in hospital and/or community pharmacy
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED : Prior computer experience; knowledge of metric system and ability to perform math calculations
OTHER SKILLS PREFERED : Experience in Mircosoft Outlook, Excel, and Access
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Must be able to stand for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 40 pounds; extended walking.
WORKI! NG ENVIRONMENT : Must be able to function independently an! d able to prioritize workload; must have high standards for quality and accuracy of work performed; must have no previous record of drug use or conviction
