As a pharmacy technician with Coram you will perform IV admixtures sterility testing in accordance with policy, maintains appropriate documentation.
Assist the pharmacists in the preparation and labeling of medications.
Prepare sterile parenterals following appropriate aseptic technique.
Conduct quality control and sterility testing. Maintain and track DME and other equipment including cleaning and calibration activities.
Orders, receives and stores medications and supplies.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED); some college preferred, one year IV experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some states require a pharmacy technician certificate or license.
Under no circumstances may a pharmacy technician mix medications or provide service without a licensed pharmacist present.
Current CPR certification required if involved with direct patient care.
