Senior Managing Consultant [Vietnam]

 

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Managing Consultant, you will develop key client strategies, lead client engagements across a range of industries and types of projects, such as consulting services, Experimental Analytics, digital marketing or data and analytics. Few of the key activities you are expected to perform are:

• Function as a senior project manager for delivery projects
• Leads small team of Associate Analysts, Consultants, Associate Managing Consultants, Managing consultants in AP region
• Rigorously and logically identify issues covering client problems in the projects managed
• Generate key hypotheses and independently structures work at the project level
• Develop effective working relationships with mid- to senior-level client management
• Synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations
• Identify creative and useful additional analyses required and suggest new paradigms for recommendations
• Independently assess client agenda, internal culture and change readiness
• Create effective, impactful and quality assured storylines and slides at the project level

Candidate profile

• Undergraduate or master’s degree and 8-10 yrs work experience after completing your undergraduate degree
• Experience in a consulting organization as a project manager or engagement manager (ideally Tier 1 consulting firms Big 3 + Accenture, Deloitte, RB, Strategy&, ATK etc.)
• Experience directly managing multiple people across multiple projects
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and ability to structure analyses to form data-driven solutions to ambiguous client challenges
• Exposure specifically in payments and / or retail banking or merchants preferred
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
• Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with both mid- and executive-level client contacts
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required, SQL / data expertise preferred
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of which they are applying for a position in, as well as eligible to apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
