Expert Deputy CISOLocation: Mexico (Remote/Work-from-Home)
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Expert Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to support our organization's information security program. As an Expert Deputy CISO, you will work closely with the CISO to develop and execute security strategies, manage security operations, and ensure the overall security of our systems and data. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 5 to 9 years of experience in information security management to contribute to our organization's security posture in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist the CISO in developing and executing the information security strategy.
Manage day-to-day security operations and oversee security teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor security controls and systems for potential threats or incidents.
Assist in incident response activities and investigations.
Stay updated with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices.
Provide guidance and support to junior security team members.
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
5 to 9 years of experience in information security management or a similar role.
Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, or COBIT.
Experience in managing security operations, including incident response and threat management.
Strong knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, DLP, IAM, and network security.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly desirable.
