Sales Manager [South Korea]


 
Local Unit & Position Description:
The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving growth in sales through new business development and ensuring service excellence to clients. This position provides and structures solutions and helps clients to improve the quality and safety of their business performance through the application of internationally recognized standards.


This position reports to the Area Manager, Korea and will be part of the Business Assurance global sales network in DNV.

Main Responsibilities (Roles & Responsibilities)
  • Responsible for the sales of certification and training business in DNV Korea;
  • Set up clear and motivating goals for the individual sales representatives in Korea;
  • Proactively monitor and accurately report sales forecast and new sales MD forecast;
  • Ensure the proper tagging of sales in the system, accuracy of sales quotes per DNV rules, guidelines and practices;
  • Responsible for driving the sales, developing the business relationships, establishing and maintaining both sales and business development strategies to meet sales targets and implement the marketing initiatives;
  • In relation with the area to cover, the expectations is that the incumbent shall be ready to travel in her/his dedicated geography (~60% of the overall time to be considered on the field). Sales meetings, trainings and other business review meetings;
  • Manage and develop the Sales team by mentoring and coaching less experienced members;
  • Support the digitalisation transformation and initiatives;
  • In a proactive mode, approach targeted companies, identify and generate business opportunities in line with DNV services portfolio;
  • Develop a local network of partners (consultants, channels);
  • Follow-up, negotiate and conclude business contracts to achieve individual targets;
  • Take part in local communication actions (events, tradeshows, conferences, exhibitions, etc);
  • Sustain existing customers’ loyalty, responsible for driving the recertification / retention of existing clients / customers by managing the queries or requests to renegotiate terms and conditions to a successful conclusion of remaining with DNV.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent;
  • More than 5 years of relevant managerial and business experience in the Certification industry;
  • Strongly business oriented, efficient, autonomous and accountable, with an entrepreneurship and market developer mindset;
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, resilient, open to change and flexible;
  • Strong interpersonal relationship capability, ability to work both remotely and with a team;
  • Ability to approach and convince the decision makers by listening to their expectations, understanding their stakes and goals, offering adapted / innovative / value-added solutions;
  • Relevant experience in selling B to B services, combined with an experience in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Risk management will provide a real additional advantage to the candidate;
  • Strategic thinking and an understand of competitive landscapes in Korea;
  • Strong communication, presentation, verbal and written skills in English and Korean;
  • Experience in managing key accounts / customers and winning new clients;
