Position Description
The primary role of the School Culture Coordinator/Safety Coordinator is to support the Principal and School Operations Manager with student and parent communications, discipline, student safety and health, and enforcement of school policies and procedures. Additionally, this role oversees meals, field parent interactions, and assisting with valet (student pick-up) and traffic supervision during After School hours.
Hours
10:00am-6:30pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Sustain and monitor a safe, orderly, disciplined culture of high academic and behavioral standards
- Monitor students in hallways, near bathrooms and lunch room
- Administer medications to students as needed
- Maintain consistent open lines of communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders
- Assist in the development of structures and systems to assist in building consistency within the student culture
- Coordinate behavior support systems and make reports to appropriate staff
- Provide the necessary support to faculty so that they can help administer the school’s policies
- Act as lead for student referrals, student health, and injuries
- Help communicate and reset students having difficulty with behavior in the classroom
- Follow policies and procedures for health and safety
- Supervise Valet (student drop off/pick-up)
- Maintain a safe and structured parking and valet system
- Assist families and guests with alternative parking solutions
- Assist School Operations Manager and after school with special projects
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Principal and School Operations Manager

Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Bilingual Spanish speaker required
- BA degree preferred, AA required
- CPR Certification required within 60 days of hire
Salary and benefits
Starting at $20/hour. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits.
